Jason Thomas founded Alianza Health Partners with a singular conviction: that Puerto Rico deserves a healthcare system built around the patient, not the transaction. Drawing on two decades of experience in managed care, physician group development, and value-based contracting, Jason assembled the team, partnerships, and infrastructure to make that vision real.

Before founding Alianza, Jason served in senior leadership roles across Puerto Rico’s managed care landscape, where he developed deep expertise in Medicare Advantage risk contracts, Medicaid managed care, and physician network development. He saw firsthand the gap between what Puerto Rico’s population needed and what the existing system delivered—and built Alianza to close it.

Jason’s leadership philosophy centers on alignment: aligning physician incentives with patient outcomes, aligning Alianza’s business model with the communities it serves, and aligning the island’s healthcare ecosystem with the value-based future that the entire US market is moving toward. Under his leadership, Alianza has grown from a concept into a multi-service-line platform spanning primary care, specialty coordination, digital health, and medical tourism.

He is a frequent speaker at regional and national healthcare conferences on topics including value-based care implementation in underserved markets, bilingual population health management, and the role of Puerto Rico as a healthcare innovation hub for the Americas.
