Job Description
Serve as the primary concierge guide for international patients seeking medical care in Puerto Rico through Alianza's medical tourism program.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for international patients from initial inquiry through departure and post-procedure follow-up
- Coordinate clinical appointments, diagnostic testing, surgical scheduling, and specialist consultations for international patients
- Arrange travel logistics including lodging, ground transportation, and interpreter services as needed
- Communicate with referring physicians and payers in patients' home countries to ensure continuity of care
- Manage medical records translation, delivery, and secure transmission in compliance with HIPAA and applicable international regulations
- Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) patient education and orientation to Puerto Rico's healthcare system and facilities
- Track patient outcomes and satisfaction metrics; contribute to continuous improvement of the medical tourism program
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, hospitality management, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in patient services, international patient coordination, or healthcare administration
- Bilingual English/Spanish required; Portuguese a significant plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent patient cases
- Cultural competency and experience working with diverse international populations
- Knowledge of HIPAA and basic healthcare privacy regulations
- Passion for Puerto Rico's healthcare mission and medical tourism potential
