Jason Thomas founded Alianza Health Partners to bring the rigor of modern value-based care — risk-based contracting, clinical integration, and disciplined multi-site operations — to markets that have historically been underserved by it. His career has been spent aligning incentives across payers, providers, and patients, and Alianza is the expression of that work applied to a new healthcare frontier.

Jason is concurrently Chief Operations Officer at Digestive & Liver Centers of Florida and its affiliated Endo-Surgical Centers of Florida, where he leads enterprise operations across a multi-site GI practice and its ambulatory surgery centers. Before that, as Vice President of Market Strategy & Clinical Integration at Duo Health, he built payer partnerships and analytics-driven care models for CKD and ESRD populations under C-SNP and Medicare Advantage arrangements — work that cut 30-day readmissions by roughly 30% and unlocked attributed-member growth across new markets.

Earlier in his career, Jason served as Vice President of Operations & Growth at Fresenius Medical Care, where he completed more than 60 acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures, launched 40+ de novo clinics, and stood up 75+ physician and hospital joint ventures. He also led Fresenius’s corporate quality function, launching national programs that improved star ratings, lifted incentive payments, and reduced hospitalizations. Before Fresenius, he spent nearly a decade at DaVita, leading the turnaround of underperforming regions across a $40M+ P&L and driving an expansion pipeline that acquired 12 clinics and 5 physician practices.

Jason’s leadership philosophy centers on alignment: aligning physician incentives with patient outcomes, aligning operations with payer economics, and aligning the people doing the work with the systems and data they need to do it well. That philosophy is why Alianza was built the way it was — with value-based care and patient-centered operations at its core rather than bolted on.

His expertise spans value-based care and alternative payment models, payer contracting and risk adjustment, ASC and perioperative operations, M&A and joint-venture execution, quality and population health (HEDIS/STAR), and data-driven operating models built on Tableau and Power BI. He holds an M.B.A. from Webster University, a B.A. from Ottawa University, and an A.S.N. in nursing from Ivy Tech — a clinical grounding that continues to shape how he thinks about every operational decision.
